Dr. Christopher Podagiel - Practice Principal

LL.B.(QUT)., M.B.,B.S.(Qld)., M.Eng.(QUT)., Dip. Child Health (Syd)., F.R.A.C.G.P., Cert. Skin Cancer Med., Cert. Skin Cancer Surg.,J.P.(Qual).

Having obtained Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.,B.S.) from the University of Queensland in 2002, Chris went on to work in a number of hospitals in both Brisbane and regional areas, with significant experience in orthopaedic surgery.  Chris then returned to the WMFP as a general practitioner in January 2014 , and is now the practice principal.   With specialist GP qualification (FRACGP) and further qualifications in child health and skin cancer, Chris enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with particular interest in child health, chronic disease, musculoskeletal medicine, and skin cancer.  When he has the time, Chris also enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. 
 

 

 

 

Dr. Yolanda De Silva - General Practitioner

B.Adv.Sci.(NSW)., M.B.,B.S.(Flind.)., F.R.A.C.G.P.

Having completed undergraduate studies (Bachelor of Advanced Science (Medical Physics)) at the University of New South Wales, Yolanda then studied medicine (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at Flinder's University in Adelaide.  Completing her specialist General Practitioner training (Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners - FRACGP) in 2014, Yolanda has been working in the Wynnum Manly area since 2017.   Having joined the practice in July 2019, Yolanda enjoys all aspects of General Practice, particularly nutritional medicine and child health.

 

 

Dr. Monsur Kazi - General Practitioner

M.B.,B.S.(RMC), Ph.D.(K.I.), F.R.A.C.G.P. 

Joining the practice in August 2023, Monsur worked as a medical registrar in multiple Australian hospitals before starting his career in General Practice.  He has completed a post-Doctoral fellowship at James Cook University (School of Medicine) after obtaining a Ph.D. from Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) and M.B.,B.S. from Rajshahi Medical College (Bangladesh).  Monsur has completed the Sydney Child Health Program, and is currently pursuing further qualification in skin cancer medicine and surgery through HealthCert.  Monsur is an experienced general practitioner with a special interest in Skin Cancer, as well as other aspects of general practice including chronic disease management, internal medicine, preventative health, men's health, and is committed to providing holistic and collaborative care to all his patients.

Ms. Wendy Savins - Practice Nurse

B.N. (SCU), Dip. App. Sci. (UNE)., Dip. Midwifery (Griffith).

Wendy is a registered nurse who has gained experience in a wide range of areas in nursing over the past 32 years.  Her career focus currently is practice-based nursing, where she enjoys caring for the local community of Wynnum Manly.  Wendy's interests in nursing include wound care and immunisations.  Wendy takes great pride in her communication skills and providing professional care of a very high standard, as well as establishing rapport with her patients to further enhance clinical care.
